Mariano Lamberti (Pompei, 12 de septiembre de 1967) es un director, guionista, poeta y escritor italiano. Se graduó en Filosofía por la Universidad de Nápoles y posteriormente obtuvo su diploma en 1992 en el Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia de Roma y en 1996 en la New York Film Academy. En 1997, en colaboración con Roberta Calandra, realizó el documental A Love Story in Four and a Half Chapters sobre la vida del escritor judío Brett Shapiro, que obtuvo el Premio Libero Bizzarri y fue distribuido por el diario italiano L’Unità. Su primer largometraje, Not with a Bang (1998), se estrenó en la 56ª edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia. La película también fue nominada al International Fantasy Film Award en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Oporto en el año 2000. En 2012 se estrenó en cines su segundo largometraje, Good As You – Tutti i colori dell’amore. A True Story (2025) es su tercer largometraje.

Graduated in Philosophy at the University of Naples, he then graduated in 1992 at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and in 1996 at the New York Film Academy. In 1997, in collaboration with Roberta Calandra, he made the documentary A Love Story in Four and a Half Chapters about the life of the Jewish writer Brett Shapiro, which won the Libero Bizzarri Awardi and was distributed by the Italian daily newspaper L’Unità. His first feature film, Not with a Bang (1998) premiered at the 56th Venice International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for an International Fantasy Film Award at the 2000 Porto International Film Festival. In 2012 his second feature film, Good As You – Tutti i colori dell’amore was released in theaters. A True Story (2025) is his third feature films.
